Coeluna is a free, account-free astrology site, built to be private by default. The birth details you enter are used to calculate your chart entirely in your browser and are never transmitted to us. This policy explains what that means in practice, and the limited cases where third parties may set cookies.
Your birth data stays on your device
When you create a chart, horoscope or compatibility reading, the birth date, time and location you enter are processed locally on your device. The astronomical calculations run in your browser — there is no account, no server-side profile, and your birth data is never sent to or stored by Coeluna.
Recent charts and preferences are remembered on this device. You can clear them in your browser settings. Share links contain the birth details used for the chart: anyone with the link can read those details. A saved chart image is an alternative when you prefer to share only your placements.
Pythagorean Square readings stay in page memory. Optional share links contain the two birth dates and display names in the link fragment so recipients can recreate the reading. Anyone with that link can read those inputs. Exported comparison images omit birth dates. Shared Pythagorean reading pages do not load analytics.
Cookies and local storage
Your browser remembers recent charts, preferences and reflections on your device. Analytics services may use cookies or browser identifiers and process technical visit data, such as IP addresses and browser or device information, to compile site statistics. You can manage cookies and saved site data in your browser settings.
Site visit statistics
We use analytics services to understand aggregate visit counts and which features are useful. These statistics exclude birth details, private readings, reflection notes and the contents of shared links. Private result pages and My Sky do not load our analytics counter. We do not record sessions or the information you enter into forms.
Third-party data
City and timezone lookups use place data from GeoNames, bundled with the site. Looking up a city happens in your browser and does not send your birth details anywhere.
Children
Coeluna is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves. When we do, we'll revise the date shown at the top of this page.
